Today has been pretty good.
I haven’t heard from anyone, it has been very quiet.
Still working on the marketing stuff. It’s going well. I started finishing up the very last version of Dying, I’ve considered asking publisher to look at it, but I’m going to wait. There’s such a difference between the one I have now, and the one I used to have. God, I miss her so much. She was so much more than a publisher and editor. She was a friend, someone who would tell all on whatever you asked about. Regardless of professional conduct.
Another difference may be my new pub is a man. Don’t mean to sound sexist or anything. I guess I’m not accustomed to “professional,” relationships when it comes to editors. I guess with men you fear getting chummy because so many seem to take it as flirtation. It isn’t. Maybe it’s just me.
I always see it as a partnership between an author and a publisher, you do want to be familiar and on good terms with whomever you affiliate yourself with. Ah, well. Maybe it was just time for me to spread my own wings, whether I want to or not. It’s a scary thought.
Well, I guess that’s it for now. Over and out. May all your tales….
