Where Land Meets the Sea

There, where the seagulls fly

Where land meets sea, ocean meets sky

In the warm summer sun

You smiled at me, our laughter had just begun

The comforting rays, warming the sands

Guiding the wind with a single hand

Nothing could bring storm clouds in

And there our dream

Would gain life and begin

That was the way it was going to be

Forever in the sun, forever with me

And if you ever became sad

I would bring you through

Smiling in the warm summer sun

Running with the wind, laughing, feeling young

And if the hurricane took you away from me

I would stay there, where land meets the sea

Dreaming of you, and what used to be

Where land meets the sea.

Counting each and every grain

Living and laughing through any pain

The sun shone on that clear summer day

The crystal tide washed the dream away

Though the day was like no other

Don’t think there will ever be another

The gulls rode the wind, diving in the ocean

We always adored the sun, laughed at any notion

Always wanted to do what had never been done

Staying on the beach, staying free and young

Staying content with the way it would be

Smiling in the sun, where land meets the sea

And the sun shone on the clear summer day

The crystal tide came and washed that dream away

That was the way it was going to be

Forever in the sun, forever with me

And if you ever became sad

I would bring you through

Smiling in the warm summer sun

Running with the wind, laughing, being young

And if the hurricane took you away from me

I would stay there, where land meets the sea

Dreaming of you, and what used to be

Where land meets the sea.
